In “The Vessel,” Supernatural revisits the trope of time travel once again. We agree with Sam that time travel is a dangerous business, with the risks often outweighing the benefits. We love time travel in Doctor Who, but it’s never been a great fit on Supernatural, with the exception of “The End” (S05E04). Yet writer Robert Berens (“Girls, Girls, Girls,” “The Executioner’s Song,” and “Our Little World”) and director John Badham (“The Hunter Games,” “The Things They Carried,” and “Into the Mystic”) seem to make it work in “The Vessel.” Continue reading
Teen Wolf S05E17 Recap: A Credible Threat
2
“A Credible Threat” is just the kind of Teen Wolf episode we love: everyone working together to stop a scary supernatural threat, all while a high school lacrosse game is going on. What we’re trying to say is, less Eichen House and more Beacon Hills High School—that’s how we like our Teen Wolf. Besides the teamwork, there’s a lot to enjoy in “A Credible Threat.”
The Walking Dead S06E09 Review: No Way Out

Expectations were high with The Walking Dead’s midseason premiere “No Way Out,” and it did not disappoint. Dealing with this invasive herd of walkers required trying a new approach, as well as relying on traditional hand combat. Whatever approach is used, it always works best when everyone comes together. In “No Way Out” The Walking Dead lets in a little hope and satisfaction, along with massive death and destruction.

After a long hiatus, The Walking Dead gives us a bloody valentine with the midseason premiere “No Way Out.” Back in November, “Start to Finish” left viewers with a scene right out of the comics, with Rick and friends covered in zombie guts in an effort to escape. “No Way Out” takes it name from the same comics (Volume 14). Millions of viewers spent their Valentines Day glued to the TV, waiting to see who would survive. The Walking Dead–always so romantic.

0Why the Supernatural Fandom is Like No Other

Supernatural S11E11 Review: Into the Mystic
4
“Into the Mystic” is a quiet Monster of the Week episode, complete with the usual guilt and introspection we’ve come to expect from Supernatural. After the action-packed “The Devil in the Details” and “O Brother Where Art Thou?” having a slower episode provides an opportunity to take in everything that’s happened. Sam just faced his old nemesis Lucifer while Dean is grappling with his complex feelings about Amara, hence the guilt and introspection. At least we can have some fun watching Lucifer as Castiel (Luciel, CaSatan, Castevil, Casifer?).

0Why The 100 is One of the Best Shows on TV Today

The 100 has proven to be a very interesting and complex show, gradually becoming one of the most fascinating series on television today. Initially, it felt more like a teen drama than a dystopian tale. Then it quickly became clear that The 100 is a captivating story about the challenges of building community and dealing with human conflict.
