Teen Wolf S06E09 Recap: Memory Found

4

lydia-scott-malia-teen-wolf-memory-foundIn “Memory Found,” we find that most of Beacon Hills has been trapped in train station oblivion by those pesky Ghost Riders. Scott is determined to remember Stiles so he can bring everyone back. It’s not entirely clear how recovering memories of Stiles has become the Holy Grail of Teen Wolf. If we can’t get the actual Dylan O’Brien on the Teen Wolf set due to his big deal movie career, we might as well settle for a clipshow of his emotional moments throughout the years. Why not? It’s not as if we’ve been rewatching these scenes on YouTube during the Stiles drought. Certainly not.

Teen Wolf S06E08 Recap: Blitzkrieg

3

stiles-claudia-teen-wolf-blitzkriegIn “Blitzkrieg,” the Ghost Riders are conducting a sustained attack on the town of Beacon Hills. As most the town gets picked off, we start to wonder—is this how Teen Wolf is going to end? Will everyone eventually be cast into oblivion, or at least an oblivion-like train station? At first we think, “Oh, Lord, don’t let it end in a train station.” Then we realize that leaving Beacon Hills completely empty, except for a lone banshee living in Eichen House, would kind of be an amazing ending for the Teen Wolf series. And then they all lived as Ghost Riders forever … Continue reading

Teen Wolf S06E07 Review: Heartless

0

liam-theo-hayden-teen-wolf-heartlessWho is the most “Heartless” in Teen Wolf? There are several potential candidates in Season 6, but “Heartless” appears to be the start of Theo’s redemption story. Can a stone-cold killer be redeemed? If he has a perfect smile and great abs, then maybe. After Liam’s attempt to show his alpha skills and take initiative, Scott finds himself involved with this unwanted ally once again. Continue reading

Supernatural S12E08 Review: LOTUS

1

cas-sam-dean-supernatural-lotusSupernatural gives us lots to like in the Season 12 midseason finale “LOTUS.” Though episodes from writers Brad Buckner and Eugenie Ross-Leming can be hit (“Soul Survivor”) or miss (“Route 666”), this Supernatural writing team has certainly made their mark over the twelve seasons. Having experienced director Phil Sgriccia at the helm helped to create an intense midseason finale, in which what seemed impossible came to be. And we’re not just referring to a magical egg creating cool special effects. Continue reading

Teen Wolf S06E04 Review: Relics

0

ghost-rider-gun-teen-wolf-relicTeen Wolf isn’t afraid of conflict. When you start with a great cast and bring in truly terrifying adversaries, the story almost tells itself. Almost. In “Relics” Lydia continues the search for Stiles, while Scott tries to protect everyone from the Ghost Riders. Though, ultimately, they both fail, they learn some valuable lessons along the way. Continue reading

Even so, it’s extra fun when you’re genuinely surprised. “Sundowning” gave us a gasp-worthy moment that tied this story back to last season. Teen Wolf certainly knows how to keep our attention.
