Supernatural S10E17 Recap: Inside Man

Crowley Dean Inside man Supernatural AM

Season 10, Episode 17 of Supernatural, “Inside Man” was so good, that we have completely forgiven the writers for the wifi ghost of “Halt and Catch Fire.” The Mark of Cain continues to loom large over the Winchesters. We saw in “Paint It Black” that Dean’s hopelessness is reaching new heights, which leaves Sam and Castiel little choice but to consider desperate measures. The cold open of “Inside Man” lets us know right away that Bobby Singer is going to help out, which only builds the anticipation.

Supernatural S10E15 Recap: The Things They Carried

Cain and Abel II

The title of Season 10 Episode 15 of Supernatural, “The Things They Carried,” references a book of the same name by Tim O’Brien that narrates the experiences of a group of American soldiers during the Vietnam War. The short stories describe what these soldiers carried with them while they were out on missions. Some of the objects are physical items they carry in their pockets or on their backs, but they also carry intangible burdens such as feelings of guilt, fear, and anxiety. In Supernatural, Dean continues to carry the affliction of the Mark of Cain, along with the feelings it elicits and experiences it has wrought.

Supernatural Episode Guide: Meet the Winchesters

dean-and-sam at lakeSupernatural is grounded in the relationship between the Winchester brothers. As individual characters, Sam and Dean engage us, but it’s their relationship as brothers that really draws us in. Sam (Jared Padalecki) and Dean (Jensen Ackles) are shaped by losing their mother as children and being raised as hunters by their father, though each react to these life experiences in different ways. The complex and evolving portrayal of Sam and Dean as brothers has kept us engaged through ten seasons of Supernatural.

1p Cain quote About a Boy SupernaturalAs we embark upon Episode 12 of the tenth season of Supernatural, there are still a lot of interesting stories to be explored. The scenes from previous Supernatural episodes at the start of “About a Boy” bring us back to the ongoing saga of the Mark of Cain and the mystery around Rowena. We’re still captivated by these stories each week. In “About a Boy,” Supernatural weaves together these story arcs, while being a very intriguing Monster-of-the-Week episode unto itself.

p Dark Charlie Bradbury There's No Place Like Home Supernatural

After seeing the previews for “There’s No Place Like Home,” we were pretty excited Charlie Bradbury would be returning to Supernatural. We love Felicia Day, who plays Charlie, and were eager to see what happened to Charlie after she went to Oz with Dorothy in “Slumber Party” (S09E04). Yet, our first glimpse of Charlie is of her torturing a man. Say it ain’t so, Charlie!

Conventions showcasing TV shows, comic books, movies, anime, literature, games, and other media are becoming increasingly popular. There are all kinds of conventions out there, some of which may end up on your bucket list. Conventions provide fans with insider knowledge, behind-the-scenes access to creative talent, and connections with other fans. Conventions such as San Diego’s Comic-Con have become fairly mainstream since Comic-Con started out as a comic book convention in 1970 and Star Trek fans organized their own first convention in 1972. Creation Entertainment, which organizes conventions for Supernatural as well as Star Trek, Stargate, Xena: Warrior Princess, The Vampire Diaries, Teen Wolf, and others, was founded in 1971. Creation held its first “Salute to Supernatural” in Chicago in 2007.
