Expectations were high with The Walking Dead’s midseason premiere “No Way Out,” and it did not disappoint. Dealing with this invasive herd of walkers required trying a new approach, as well as relying on traditional hand combat. Whatever approach is used, it always works best when everyone comes together. In “No Way Out” The Walking Dead lets in a little hope and satisfaction, along with massive death and destruction.

The Walking Dead S06E09 Recap: No Way Out
4
After a long hiatus, The Walking Dead gives us a bloody valentine with the midseason premiere “No Way Out.” Back in November, “Start to Finish” left viewers with a scene right out of the comics, with Rick and friends covered in zombie guts in an effort to escape. “No Way Out” takes it name from the same comics (Volume 14). Millions of viewers spent their Valentines Day glued to the TV, waiting to see who would survive. The Walking Dead–always so romantic.

The Season 6 mid-season premiere of The Walking Dead is titled “No Way Out.” It follows the breach of Alexandria by a massive walker herd in “Start to Finish.” At the end of that episode we got a preview of “No Way Out,” showing Daryl, Sasha, and Abraham being intercepted by a group on motorcycles.
What The Walking Dead Can Learn from Z Nation

Zombie culture has reached new heights with television, cinema, comics, novels, conventions, and every other form of popular media you can think of. AMC’s The Walking Dead, now in its 6th season, is one of the most popular television shows today and spawned the sister series Fear the Walking Dead last summer. Meanwhile the lesser-known series Z Nation has just finished its second season on the SyFy channel. Continue reading
The Walking Dead S06E08 Review: Start to Finish
1
The Walking Dead gives us an exciting mid-season finale in “Start to Finish.” As the walkers invade Alexandria, everyone panics and hides. As well as dealing with the incursion of walkers, internal conflicts begin to flare up, putting everyone at greater risk. In “Start to Finish” we lose Deanna, and who knows how many nameless Alexandrians?

In “Start to Finish” The Walking Dead gives us the massive walker invasion we’ve been waiting for. It’s not just a crazy walker herd Alexandria has to deal with, but a conflict between two killers, a teen fight, and a Wolf in their midst. It’s not clear how many will make it out alive.
The Walking Dead S06E07 Recap: Heads Up
3
If you just finished watching The Walking Dead “Heads Up,” let the rejoicing begin and leave the recriminations for later. “Heads Up” resolved the question of Glenn’s survival, while leaving us wondering how the Alexandrians will survive the herd incursion. Season 6 of The Walking Dead has given us series of very unfortunate events taking place over two days. Some days are definitely worse than others.
The Walking Dead S06E06 Recap: Always Accountable
6
During most of Season 6 The Walking Dead has been showing us the events over a couple days, and episode 6, “Always Accountable,” continues that pattern. Except for the Morgan-centric episode “Here’s Not Here,” the present timeline started with the practice run at the quarry and has ended with Alexandria surrounded by walkers. The biggest question on everyone’s mind is—was that Glenn calling for help on the radio?
The Walking Dead S06E05 Recap: Now
1
“Now” shows us the aftermath following the chaos of the first three episodes of Season 6 of The Walking Dead. We had a break in the non-stop action with last week’s Morgan-focused episode, “Here’s Not Here.” In “Now,” everyone is taking a moment to adjust to what’s happened and where they are now. In this world death is always imminent, and you have to go on even when those you love have died or disappeared. “Now” was directed by Avi Youabian and written by Corey Reed, both whom have a lot of experience with The Walking Dead franchise.
The Walking Dead S06E04 Recap: Here’s Not Here
2In “Here’s Not Here,” The Walking Dead slows down the pace after three intense episodes. We weren’t confident we could really focus on a Morgan-centric episode when we are wondering if Glenn is dead or alive, but this glimpse into Morgan’s past keeps us riveted. In “Here’s Not Here” both Lennie James as Morgan and John Carroll Lynch as Eastman give us outstanding performances.
