Coming to San Francisco for the Supernatural Convention? So are we! We had a blast at the 2015 and 2016 Salute to Supernatural conventions in San Francisco, and the next one can’t come too soon. The convention will once again be held at the Hyatt Regency, near the airport (not to be confused with the downtown “High Anxiety” Hyatt Regency). Staying in the same hotel as the convention is recommended, as events such as the Saturday Night Special go late into the night. Besides, it gives you the chance to hang out with the amazing #SPNFamily. Continue reading

We’ve been watching Sam and Dean Winchester saving people and hunting things for over a decade. Supernatural has kept us engaged through 11 seasons by giving us great stories and characters that we connect to emotionally. This beloved CW series was built with epic monster tales, but its foundation is family. Season 12 will be helmed by new co-showrunners Andrew Dabb and Robert Singer, who have both been involved with Supernatural for many years. They’re planning on bringing viewers back to the basics with the return of Mary Winchester, a focus on smaller stories, and the search for Lucifer. Oh, and monsters, lots of monsters.
We all need a little something to look forward to. How about something awesome, like a Supernatural convention in Honolulu? Aurite! Creation Entertainment is bringing the Supernatural Convention to Hawaiʻi for the first time November 17–19, 2017. Maybe the Winchesters can’t save everyone, but you can still save yourself some good seats for #SPNHon. While in beautiful Hawaiʻi it’s a good time to act like it’s your last night on earth and “eat, drink, and, you know, make merry.” Continue reading
The original series of Star Trek may have only had three seasons, from September 1966 to June 1969, but its influence continues to be felt today. Not only did Star Trek go on to become a media franchise though television spinoffs, movies, novels, comics, games, and magazines, but Gene Roddenberry’s vision of the future had a powerful impact on the way that people came to see the world. Star Trek celebrates its 50-year anniversary this year, allowing us an opportunity to look back at how this beloved series changed the world. Continue reading
The Hillywood Show is up to their usual hijinks, giving us another entertaining parody video. This time, they’re portraying the immensely popular BBC series Sherlock. Sherlock Parody scenes are played against an adaptation of the song “Thrift Shop” by Mackelmore and Ryan Lewis. The creative Hillywood team even managed to snag a cameo from series creator Steven Moffat and his son Louis. Now that they’ve added Sherlock to their catalog on top of the previous parodies of Doctor Who and Supernatural, the Hindi sisters have proved their #SuperWhoLockian cred.
The hugely popular series The Walking Dead had a hugely populated panel at San Diego’s Comic-Con this year. Talking Dead host Chris Hardwick moderated the panel, which was so huge he had to do it in two sections. It started with the series producers: Scott Gimple, Robert Kirkman, Dave Alpert, Gale Anne Hurd, and Greg Nicotero, who answered questions about what to expect in Season 7. Then the cast took the stage, including series regulars Andrew Lincoln, Norman Reedus, Steven Yeun, Lauren Cohan, Chandler Riggs, Danai Gurira, Josh McDermitt, Michael Cudlitz, Sonequa Martin-Green, Christian Serratos, Ross Marquand, and Jeffrey Dean Morgan.
Great storytelling has kept viewers coming back to Supernatural year after year. The cast never misses a chance to share the love with their fans at a convention. They’re regulars at San Diego’s Comic-Con, where attendees had a chance to learn what, and who, to expect during their 12th Season of Supernatural on The CW. Continue reading
