The Walking Dead S06E04 Recap: Here’s Not Here
2In “Here’s Not Here,” The Walking Dead slows down the pace after three intense episodes. We weren’t confident we could really focus on a Morgan-centric episode when we are wondering if Glenn is dead or alive, but this glimpse into Morgan’s past keeps us riveted. In “Here’s Not Here” both Lennie James as Morgan and John Carroll Lynch as Eastman give us outstanding performances.

Supernatural creates an instant classic with the Impala-centered episode “Baby.” The episode is likely to be remembered as one of the series best, bringing together what we love in Supernatural–family, unusual monsters, humor, and a story with a unique perspective. With “Baby,”Supernatural gives us an Impala-centered episode that may be remembered as one of the show’s best. It’s certainly the most interesting episode since “Fan Fiction.” We learned long ago that the Impala is the Winchesters’ true home, but it was great to hear Sam actually say it. “Baby” had everything we love in Supernatural: family, cool monsters, divinity, and a cleverly told story.

0Supernatural: For the love of an Impala called Baby
6In Supernatural, the Impala has always been a home for the Winchesters. They grew up traveling with their father in the Impala, and continue to drive around the country in the car even now. Though they may sometimes stay in crappy hotel rooms, Bobby’s house, or even take up residence in the Bunker, the Winchesters are grounded by the Impala. It’s always kept them connected to each other and to their shared past.

“The Bad Seed” was directed by Supernatural’s own Jensen Ackles. This is Ackles’ fifth outing as director of a Supernatural episode. Writers Brad Buckner and Eugenie Ross-Leming previously worked with Ackles on his last two directing ventures—“Heartache” and “Soul Survivor.” In “The Bad Seed” we caught up with Castiel, Crowley, Rowena, and the hungry new character Amara.

0Supernatural S11E02 Recap: Form and Void
2
“Form and Void” continues the story of Supernatural’s Season 11 premiere, “Out of the Darkness, Into the Fire.” Dean Winchester (Jensen Ackles) has delivered Deputy Jenna Nickerson (Laci J Mailey) and baby Amara to Jenna’s grandmother (Christine Willes), while Sam Winchester (Jared Padalecki) searches for a cure for the deadly supernatural infection affecting him and others around Superior, Nebraska. Castiel (Misha Collins) is still cursed by Rowena’s attack dog spell, and the angel assistance he’s received isn’t exactly a rescue. Crowley (Mark Sheppard) has learned the Darkness has been unleashed and can’t help but wonder, what’s in it for him? Weaving the initial story, which centered on the mysterious infection, into two episodes helps to provide the space needed for our characters to settle into the new reality. “Form and Void” was written by Andrew Dabb and directed by Phillip Sgriccia.
