The Walking Dead S06E05 Recap: Now

1

Jessie Breckenridge The Walking Dead Now“Now” shows us the aftermath following the chaos of the first three episodes of Season 6 of The Walking Dead. We had a break in the non-stop action with last week’s Morgan-focused episode, “Here’s Not Here.” In “Now,” everyone is taking a moment to adjust to what’s happened and where they are now. In this world death is always imminent, and you have to go on even when those you love have died or disappeared. “Now” was directed by Avi Youabian and written by Corey Reed, both whom have a lot of experience with The Walking Dead franchise.

3 Reasons to Love The CW

13

Renewed CWOnce upon a time there was an upstart television network called The CW. Its beginnings were complicated and its name was kinda lame, but The CW network came to capture our hearts, and even our souls. Some critics like to dismiss The CW, saying that it targets younger viewers, all the stars are good looking, and that the seasons pack in a lot of episodes. We say, uh, how are those things a problem? The truth is that The CW has some of the most interesting and innovative shows on TV. The CW is a small but plucky television network. Did we say plucky? We meant awesome. There’s lots to love about The CW—it’s supernatural mythology, comic culture, and dramatic flair.

The Walking Dead S06E04 Recap: Here’s Not Here

2

Morgan grass The Walking Dead Heres Not Here

In “Here’s Not Here,” The Walking Dead slows down the pace after three intense episodes. We weren’t confident we could really focus on a Morgan-centric episode when we are wondering if Glenn is dead or alive, but this glimpse into Morgan’s past keeps us riveted. In “Here’s Not Here” both Lennie James as Morgan and John Carroll Lynch as Eastman give us outstanding performances.

Supernatural S11E04 Recap: Baby

RoadHouse Supernatural BabyWith “Baby,”Supernatural gives us an Impala-centered episode that may be remembered as one of the show’s best. It’s certainly the most interesting episode since “Fan Fiction.” We learned long ago that the Impala is the Winchesters’ true home, but it was great to hear Sam actually say it. “Baby” had everything we love in Supernatural: family, cool monsters, divinity, and a cleverly told story.
