AMC has released a new trailer for Season 6 of The Walking Dead. In the new season clashes between Rick Grimes (Andrew Lincoln) and the people of Alexandria continue. Though Rick seems to have convinced Deanna Monroe (Tovah Feldshuh) of the dangers they will need to face, not all of the community is on board with Rick’s approach. The presence of Morgan Jones (Lennie James) also brings a different perspective from the outside world.

In Season 6 we will continue to see the risks that people bring, both in terms being dangerous outsiders like the Wolves and unprepared insiders like the Alexandrians. As well as seeing the increasing threat of humans, the walkers will present a bigger threat in Season 6 than they have for some time.

Several new characters will be introduced in season 6. Dr. Denise Cloyd (Merritt Wever) and Heath (Corey Hawkins) are characters from the comic book. Carter (Ethan Embry) is a mix of several comic book characters.

The first episode in Season 6, “First Time Again” and is directed by Greg Nicotero and written by Scott Gimple and Matthew Negrete. Season 6 of The Walking Dead will premiere on Sunday, October 11 at 9pm ET/PT, in a 90 minute episode.
